Wacky & Wild Adventures with David Shannon

David will read some of his choice stories from over the past decades of his writing. He will also entertain the audience with his tales of how he got started, insights to his style of work, and how he continues to generate new and fresh ideas for his insatiable and dedicated readers.

Marla Frazee & Liz Garton Scanlon present “All the World”

This dynamic duo will discuss the process of how an author and illustrator work independently and together to create an amazing product.

Adult writing workshop “Plotting your Novel” SCWBI (1.5 OPI credit)

This workshop will teach you how to create a plot, weave subplots and some easy techniques used in scriptwriting that can serve as a template for writing a novel. Attendees will also learn about turning points or transition points—points in the plots at which your protagonist’s problem-solving action turns in a new direction.
