Brandon Mull & Christopher Paolini Book Talk and Signing

04/05/2012

Thursday, April 5 at 7 pm

Fantasy mega-authors Brandon Mull and Christopher Paolini will be in Bozeman for one night only, Thursday, April 5, for a joint talk and signing at the Country Bookshelf.  Join us for this extraordinary opportunity to hear the authors discuss their writing, how they create their unique, magical worlds, and of course, sign books.

New York Timesbestselling author Brandon Mull is best known for his Fablehaven series and his current project, The Beyonders trilogy. He resides in Utah, in a happy little valley near the mouth of a canyon with his wife and four children. Find him online at http://brandonmull.com.

Praise for Beyonders: A World Without Heroes:

“Mull elevates the genre, pairing humorous and imaginative scenarios with intelligence and well-written dialogue . . .With “Beyonders,” Mull has taken the tried-and-true quest genre and reinvigorated it with a dense but extremely well written follow-up to his bestselling “Fablehaven” series.” —Los Angeles Times

“Brandon Mull is a wizard with words. With Beyonders, he has conjured one of the most original fantasies I’ve read in years—an irresistible mix of adventure, humor, and magic.” —Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackon and the Olympians series

Beyonders: Seeds of rebellion

After the cliffhanger ending of A World Without Heroes, Jason is back in the world he’s always known—yet for all his efforts to get home, he finds himself itching to return to Lyrian. Jason knows that the shocking truth he learned from Maldor is precious information that all of his friends in Lyrian, including Rachel, need if they have any hope of surviving and defeating the evil emperor.

Meanwhile, Rachel and the others have discovered new enemies—as well as new abilities that could turn the tide of the entire quest. And as soon as Jason succeeds in crossing over to Lyrian, he’s in more danger than ever. Once the group reunites, they strive to convince their most-needed ally to join the war and form a rebellion strong enough to triumph over Maldor. At the center of it all, Jason and Rachel realize what roles they’re meant to play—and the answers are as surprising as they are gripping.

Paradise Valley writer Christopher Paolini is the author of the New York Times bestselling Inheritance Cycle,  which began with Eragon and recently concluded with Inheritance.

Inheritance

Not so very long ago, Eragon—Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider—was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.

Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.

The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaësia? And if so, at what cost?

This is the much-anticipated, astonishing conclusion to the worldwide bestselling Inheritance cycle.
