Book Clubs

Local book clubs can place special bulk orders (no number is too small) in advance, and we will stock your book club’s pick on our Book Club Shelf (just past New Literature).

Special Orders

We can special order a wide variety of both new, used, and hard-to-find books.  Call, email, or stop in to place your order.

You can always order books at any hour of the day or night via email at countrybookshelf@gmail.com, or by calling the store at (406)-587-0166. In your order request, be sure to include

Depending on your preferences and instructions, we will order the book(s) and call you when they arrive at the store (this is the default method), or contact you for billing information over the phone and send the books to your doorstep. Many books arrive within 2-4 days of your order.

Shipping

Have your purchases shipped from our store or directly from our warehouse to your home or to your friends and family via either the USPS or UPS (both have a variety of pricing and timing options).

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are available in any amount. You can also order these over the phone and have them mailed or waiting behind the counter for the recipient.

Gift Wrapping

Complimentary seasonal gift wrapping service makes the Country Bookshelf a one-stop gift-giving center.  Purchase a book (or gift certificate), a card, and then have your gift wrapped and even shipped.

Bonus Book Card

Our long-running customer appreciation program continues. We stamp a card with the amount of your purchase and when the card is full, you get a $10 discount. 

Email Newsletter

To receive the latest information on what’s happening at the Country Bookshelf, please sign up for our email newsletter by entering your email into the field box on the right hand column of our home page. Our send us an email at countrybookshelf@gmail.com. You’ll then receive periodic emails with event, new book, and other book world information. Newsletters are sent a couple times a month and no more than once a week.

If you have already or plan to sign up for our e-newsletter, make sure that countrybookshelf@gmail.com is added to your address book.  Otherwise, it is possible that our emails will be rejected by your spam filter.  If you believe that you have signed up, but have not received any emails from us, this could be the problem.  Add us to your address book and then send us an email requesting to be put back on the list.

We carry Beartooth Publishing durable, foldable local recreation maps and hiking guides including: Bozeman, Big Sky, West Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park, Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness, Grand Teton National Park Jackson Hole Teton Valley, Crazy Mountains, Tobacco Root Mountains, Missoula, Hamilton, Lost Trail Pass & the Montana Single Track.

We also carry an assortment of maps from National Geographic for the local areas and abroad. 

IndieBound

Country Bookshelf is a member of the American Bookseller’s Association and their initiative to support independent bookstores, IndieBound (formerly known as BookSense).  Near the counter at the front of the store, you can pick up the free pamphlet every month with recommendations from independent booksellers around the country.
