Dara Nix-Stevenson is a teacher-scholar-activist who has taught high school biology and environmental science since 1998 at various public and private schools. She received her PhD in cultural foundations from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Her research interests reflect stories of identity, autonomy, and resistance. Paul Chamness Miller is Professor of International Liberal Arts in the English for Academic Purposes program at Akita International University in Japan. He received his PhD in curriculum and instruction from Purdue University. Dr. Miller is the editor of the journal Critical Inquiry in Language Studies.
