High Noon in the Automotive Industry (Paperback)
The automotive markets of the industrialized world are saturated, holding little hope of growth for the "growth-minded" automotive industry. Who will survive? Who will drop out? What will be the consequences for suppliers? Which regions will lose, which will win? Emerging markets like China, India, and Eastern Europe are still too small to matter much, and wish to develop their own automotive production. This book offers an impressive account of the present state of the world's 11 big automotive companies and their prospects for the future, and offers a sound 10-year forecast.
Dr. Helmut Becker is a world-renowned expert on the automotive industry. He has served on the staff of the German Council of Economic Advisors. As Chief Economist at BMW, he headed the Corporate Economic Research and Policy department for several of his twenty plus years there. Currently, he is the founder and CEO of Business Relations Company AG, and in addition, runs his own institute for economic analysis. Dr. Becker holds degrees in Economics and Business Studies and a PhD in Political Science.
