Zerah – Artist/Creative Director Nightbrush Studios
Zerah grew up on a ranch in the mountains of Montana. The high elevations and harsh landscapes of her childhood play a significant role in her art. Drawing on nature and wildlife, Zerah believes that these landscapes open doors to the subconscious experience. This influence remains a staple icon throughout her work.
In her early years as an artist her inspiration came from her love of the early 20th century avant-garde movement in which the observer sought to explore the potential of the unconscious mind through art and philosophy. Her motive with art is to create windows into the valleys of the soul, where fantasy and the surreal thrive.
Zerah’s work has been featured in commercials for Dreamworks, Intel, Ford and Chevrolet as well as shows for Lifetime and Hallmark and various feature films.
More about Zerah's work
For me, art is a fun adventure, a reflection of a grand experience, because it’s the journey we are living right now. I believe in making things beautiful and seeing the treasure in our experiences around us. As a young girl I was a vivid dreamer, I would think ‘What would happen if we could connect the beauty of the dream world to the reality of our waking lives?’ I later found this bridge through art. My paintings are a window into the subconscious, reflections of the soul, sought to bring about the emotions of peace and beauty.
