Banned Books Trivia Returns for Its Third Year

Banned Books Week, an annual event celebrating the freedom to read and the importance of the First Amendment, is September 27-October 3, 2020. As part of the week’s activities, ACLU Montana, Belgrade Community Library, Bozeman Public Library, Country Bookshelf, Friends of MSU Library, and MSU Library partner to host a virtual Banned Book Trivia event.
Chrysti the Wordsmith will MC the event and will provide facts about banned books, intellectual freedom, and the right to read. Participants can organize their own team, can play as an individual, or can be assigned to a team by event organizers. All participants will need to register individually. This year Banned Books Trivia will feature a Zoom virtual background challenge and an at-home costume contest. Prizes donated by event partners will be awarded.

Starting September 23, there will be two asynchronous trivia events that can be completed any time between September 23 and September 29. Winners of these events will be announced at the live trivia event on September 30.
