Ian Campbell Allen is a writer and historian who lives in Bozeman, Montana. He is the author of "Goddess of the Sun: Tucson's Hacienda del Sol School for Girls," an article about the origins of an elite 1920s girls' school in Tucson, Arizona, published in 2017 in the Journal of Arizona History. Canadian by birth, Campbell Wilson holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of New Hampshire. His website is iancampbellwilson.com.

Maura Jane Farrelly is an associate professor of American studies at Brandeis University. She has worked as a reporter in Atlanta, Washington DC, and New York. Her books include Papist Patriots: The Making of an American Catholic Identity and Anti-Catholicism in America, 1620–1860

Jonathan Klein was not born in the right place. Raised in San Francisco by a single mother determined to mold her only child into a sophisticated urbanite, he instead surrendered to an innate ferality. Moving to Montana as a young man, Jonathan found work as a ranch hand and later discovered his true calling as a wilderness manager for the USDA Forest Service. His adventurous spirit has led to a slew of dubious exploits including hopping freight trains, a very short stint as a rodeo rider, bull fighting in Portugal, and several expeditions by canoe and kayak to the far north. Jonathan lives in Montana with his wife, Marianne, and a couple of cats.

Linda C. Welsh is a Registered Nurse certified in Hospice and Palliative Care. She has assumed many roles in the delivery of hospice care; but her joy has always been accompanying people one on one. Co-founder of Sage Mountain Center, an education center for sustainable living in Whitehall, Montana, Welsh is a distance hiker with a Master’s degree in Transformative Learning and Change.
